The SHOEMAKER CHAIR by Form & Refine is a Danish classic from 1936 that adapts to any body shape and is versatile. The seat with the anatomically shaped curves consists of a large, solid piece of wood and is supported by the three chair legs. The T-connection between the legs contributes to the stability. Due to the naturally different wood grain, each chair is unique and brings Nordic aesthetics to the dining room or living room.
After the first production of the chair in 1936, the Holzdrechsler Werner family tweaked the shape of the Shoemaker chair over three generations, improved the design and production and made the chair what it is today: a true, archetypal classic. To this day, each one is produced in the family's own wood turnery, Gislev Drejerforretning, on the Danish island of Funen.
