The SHOEMAKER CHAIR by Form & Refine is a Danish classic from 1936 that adapts to every body shape and is versatile. The seat with the anatomically shaped curves consists of a large, solid piece of wood and is supported by the three chair legs. The T-connection between the legs contributes to the stability. Due to the naturally different wood grain, each chair is unique and brings Nordic aesthetics to the dining room or living room.
After the first production of the chair in 1936, the Werner family of wood turners spent three generations refining the shape of the shoemaker's chair, improving the design and production and making the chair what it is today: a true, archetypal classic. To this day, each one is produced in the family-owned wood turnery Gislev Drejerforretning on the Danish island of Funen.

The traditional Japanese artform origami was the creative point of departure for German designer Robin Scholtysik when he designed his new side table for blomus – named Oru. Based on the precise folding of intricate figures out of paper, the table consists of thin, powder-coated, steel sheets which – when put together – create a three-dimensional shape, while cut-out joints reveal important little details, such as opposing radii and delicately curved interfaces. The construction of Oru is just as smart and simple as its design.
