We have set ourselves the goal of developing and manufacturing furniture that is close to the spirit of the times, and whose charisma and timelessness make them true companions for life. We use solid oak wood exclusively from Germany. We start with individuality where industry stops. Handcrafting may not make our furniture as perfect as an industrially manufactured product, but it makes it many times more valuable, exclusive and stable in value.
GERMAN OLD OAK
For our furniture - especially our tables, benches and stools - we use only high-quality oak from domestic production. German oak grows to a height of between 20 and 30 metres, reaches a diameter of up to three metres and is therefore wonderfully suitable for large tops. In terms of colour, the light to dark brown heartwood dominates and conveys the typical oak wood image. With its unconventional charisma, it adapts to any style and looks particularly beautiful as a solitaire. Oak is very robust, versatile to work with and today one of our most valuable woods, not only for furniture construction. In addition, oak is very weatherproof and resistant.
Our JOON oak dining table, for example, can also be used as a patio table in the open air. Oak wood belongs to the medium-weight woods, is very strong and does not warp much, and offers a wonderful surface, which we oil or oilburner (burn off) depending on the look and intended use. Finish options (surface): White or black oiled, or black cured (burnt oak).
