As the name suggests, the Ruin vases are inspired by archetypal ruins and the classic shapes that still grace the landscape and remind us of what once was. The tower-like design is perfect for growing plants and features various openings that conceal and reveal the plant while creating a structure that provides space to grow. A plastic pot fits easily into the large opening on one side without being visible from other sides. The Ruin vase is equally suitable for decoration with dried flowers or as a stand-alone work of art. As it is a hand-glazed natural product, the colours may vary slightly and it is not waterproof. Sumo celebrates the human body. As a reference to the Japanese sport Sumo, all vases are voluminous in size and shape, resting on top of narrow pointing legs. All vases have different openings from the traditional narrow vase openings to double openings and deep carved openings. The Sumo collection looks at the contrast between familiar vase shapes and the addition of more artistic, abstract ideas and details, questioning our individual perceptions of the shape of a vase. Inspired by the characteristic shapes of the Medusa, Medusa ceramics highlight the soft oval shapes and details of the jellyfish: each Medusa is elegantly shaped and slightly raised above the ground by a series of small conical legs reminiscent of the jellyfish's tentacles. Medusa has a very elegant and simple expression and can easily be integrated into any interior design as a sculptural object or as a vase for flowers or decorations.
