A TASTE OF JAPAN WITH KAZUSHIGE MIYAKE The art of ikebana – the gentle and mindful arranging of flowers in sculptural bouquets – is an integral part of Japanese culture, and is therefore the obvious source of inspiration for the new MIYABI vase, designed by Kazushige Miyake. MIYABI, the name of the new Sculptural vase, would be directly translated to “elegance”, ”grace” or “refinement”. What could be better name for an Ikebana Vase. Please note the care instructions. For cleaning we recommend the use of a damp cloth.

The slightly rough ceramic surface with its subtle colour variations contributes to the natural overall appearance as well as the unique character of each individual vase. The vases of the CEOLA series are matt, have a rough glazed surface and are made of resistant ceramic. Small unevenness, slight colour deviations and visible lines are manufacturing traces that indicate the production. They make these vases unique.

Kabin is a series of vases inspired by the classic, simple forms of Japanese craftsmanship. The large table vases offer the same stability and complexity as traditional Japanese tea bowls. Their oval bodies rest on a small foot or base that refines the classic form. The Kabin series is a love story between Japanese and Scandinavian craftsmanship, resulting in this minimalist collection of vases in four different sizes. As it is a hand-glazed natural product, the colours may vary slightly. As the vase is not 100% waterproof, a bag for fresh flowers is included. Designed by Nicolaj Nøddesbo & Tommy Hyldahl, made of ceramic.
