Hako is the Japanese word for box or storage, and in the 101 Copenhagen universe it is a furniture collection inspired by Japanese living. Hako features a bar and storage object, console, bench, coffee table and side table. Each product is handmade of massive ash with French bamboo mesh, creating a semi transparent front or top surface. The wooden surfaces smoothly transition into metal frames and fittings, creating a refined modern expression. The characteristic conic shaped legs and slim metal tray is made of plated metal.

TRAY
The Oka tray is inspired by traditional Japanese serving trays, often produced in wood or bamboo. Transforming this well-known form into a new material, in this case solid fiber concrete, a certain heaviness and a refined texture of the surface is added, without compromising on the recognizable shape.  With its sculptural and architectural shape, it can be used for various decoration purposes or standalone as a piece of art in its own right. The Sphere collection has become synonymous with the visual language and signature series of 101 Copenhagen. The series consists of a family of unique silhouettes and textures that come together in a decorative and sculptural way. Each vase is elegantly shaped and decorated with intricate details. Inspired by ancient Chinese vases, a palette of faded earth tones is characteristic of the Sphere collection, which has been developed in close collaboration with highly skilled ceramicists to ensure the precise contrast between the smooth shapes and sharp edges. As this is a hand-glazed natural product, colours may vary slightly. The vase is not 100% waterproof, but a bag for fresh flowers is included. Inspired by the rich, shiny use of materials of the 1930s Art Deco movement, the Pillar coffee table is a statement piece of furniture characterised by the contrast between the wafer-thin tabletop and the voluminous base. The Pillar coffee table is available in a high and a low version, made of galvanised metal in two colours - brass and burnt black. They provide a refined appearance that enriches any home in a unique way.
