The KANDINSKY pendant lamp is inspired by the abstract circle paintings of the artist of the same name, which were created during his time at the Bauhaus in the 1920s. A sphere and a spear play the main roles in the composition of the lamp, piercing each other in the air. The delicate balance of the two elements conveys a dramatic sense of weightlessness and precision, but also of fragility. The custom-made light source is seamlessly fitted and shaped into the glass sphere. It emits its light from the centre of the hand-blown smoked glass and is dimmable to influence the mood in the room. Kandinsky is available in two sizes, with a 300 or 450 mm wide glass sphere. It hangs powerfully alone above a table or other design element, or in a group to cast its soft, diffuse light into a larger space.
