Additionally, the lamp has a nearly stepless extension of up to 7,5 feet (2.3 meters). It is an ideal luminary for big dining tables with a length of up to 8.2 ft (2.5 m), as well as for any situation where there is no ceiling outlet available above the dining or coffee table. The shade is also height-adjustable and comes with a rblind tube, hiding the bulb. Most light is spread through the openings from below and above the shade which itself produces a soft light. The black version blocks the light sideways. The base made from steel and aluminium in a structured and matte powder coating makes the lamp light but steady at the same time. The bulb requires an E27 fixture and can be easily replaced, which makes it a sustainable product. The lamp is available with a foot switch on the floor or with a pull switch at the fixture. Both versions are available with or without a Dim to Switch-LED light. Dim to Switch means dimming via a switch in 3 steps: maximum luminance, a cozy atmosphere or a candlelight/nightlight function. Reminiscent of the silhouette of a sitting man, The Sitting Man is a light sculpture with a luminous glass sphere at the centre of a spiral composition.
