The elegance and simplicity of the perfect round and square lines was evident in the architecture of the New Formalism that flourished in the 1960s, and also in the collection called Formalism.  The collection was developed in close collaboration with Indian marble suppliers to find the most homogeneous stones possible with little to no contrast, resulting in an even surface in faded earth tones that eventually takes on a matt finish.  Formalism consists of a bowl and a tray.

Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl. Made of marble.

101 COPENHAGEN // TRIBAL
VASE | MEDIO | BONE WHITE
The Tribal collection is a series of vases designed as a sculptural take on the archetypal idea of a tribal mask. Place single flower stems in the narrow top opening or simply leave the vase as a standalone art object. Like open mouths on pedestals, the masks are a beautiful shaped item in calm, soothing and dusty terracotta and grey colours. As it is a hand glazed natural product, the colours may vary slightly and while it is not 100% waterproof, a bag for fresh flowers is included. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl.

A hand-engraved silver label and the luxurious hard case complete a perfect design that symbolises the classicism of one of Europe's most artistic and creative eras.Fragrance notes: Top: Jasmine, notes of Tuscan saffron, incense. 101 COPENHAGEN // OKA
TRAY
The Oka tray is inspired by traditional Japanese serving trays, often produced in wood or bamboo. Transforming this well-known form into a new material, in this case solid fiber concrete, a certain heaviness and a refined texture of the surface is added, without compromising on the recognizable shape.  With its sculptural and architectural shape, it can be used for various decoration purposes or standalone as a piece of art in its own right. As it is a natural product, the colours may vary a little. Not 100% waterproof. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl.

BOWL | MINI | LIGHT GREY
Asian ceramic objects for storage serve as inspiration for Osaka, a series of sculptural and pretty bowls to adorn any table. The simplified hemisphere is lifted from the ground by three walls, as if merging the perfect round and square shape into one object. The brutalistic and heavy appearance of the Osaka bowls is underlined by the fact that they are cast from solid fibre concrete. The finely textured surface is glazed by hand, and as it is a natural product, the colours may vary slightly. The bowl is not 100% waterproof. Designed by Nicolaj Nøddesbo & Tommy Hyldahl.

PLATE | BIG | COFFEE
Reminiscent of small, individual, three-legged figures or friendly creatures, the Duck series is a playful and exuberant addition to a more minimalist series of trays, vases, bowls, pots, glasses and plates in a modern interior. But true to the design manifesto of 101 Copenhagen, the collection is in natural colours to fit into the Scandinavian home. Duck comes in different shapes, sizes and colours - like individual family members gathered around a table. As it is a hand-glazed natural product, the colours may vary slightly. The duck is not 100% waterproof, but a bag for fresh flowers is included. Designed by Nicolaj Nøddesbo & Tommy Hyldahl.
