Inspired by the characteristic use of animal imagery in Danish modernism from the 1940s to the 1960s, the Bull lamp takes its name from the bull-like lampshades made of opal glass, which provide a gentle diffusion of light and a characteristic expression. The body consists of an unpolished grey marble base with a lamp arm made of oxidised aluminium covered with cognac-coloured spider leather and an upper part made of oxidised aluminium, which contrasts beautifully with the light, translucent glass. This subtle interplay of materials makes the Bull lamp much more than just a light source.
