Hans Bølling's house: an exhibition paying homage to one of the greatest designers of Danish modernism. The exhibition recreates Bølling's home, living room and study and presents a collection of memorabilia and sketches that explore his iconic spirit, curiosity and creativity.
The new series by Hans Bølling consists of a lounge chair, a stool and a coffee table that continue his iconic design line of powerful, modern simplicity with honest and playful twists. The furniture forms the basis for timeless designs and is manufactured in Denmark in the 5th generation workshop.
The Danish architect Hans Bølling is also popularly associated with one product - his wooden figures. As a young architect, Hans Bølling began carving small figures as gifts for friends and relatives. He did this with such love and honesty that figures such as Duck and Duckling or Optimist and Pessimist took on a personality and endearing charm that they soon became an unexpected international success. Today, the decorative figures by Hans Bølling are produced by the Danish manufacturer Architectmade with the same attention to detail and craftsmanship with which Hans Bølling created his originals. The loving accessories fit effortlessly into any interior design and serve as a beautiful addition to any living area. And it's not just his figurines that brighten up the day: with his humour and wealth of ideas, Hans Bølling himself regularly brings a breath of fresh air and inspiration to the Architectmade offices in Århusgade in Copenhagen.
BØLLING TRAY TABLE
This Danish classic was designed by Hans Bølling in 1963 and is a symbol of Danish modernism. Our various colour and design options offer a unique, personal touch.
BRDR. KRÜGER manufactures the table in 7 different colours, with each colour option chosen to highlight the unique hues of the wood and offer a soft, aesthetic harmony that connects your home with nature.
HANDCRAFT
BRDR. KRÜGER is a family business that has existed for five generations. They are constantly evolving, but remain true to the foundations of the woodturning workshop founded in 1886 by brothers Theodor and Ferdinand.
Throughout their history, Danish design and simplicity have been the essence of their furniture, handmade by skilled craftsmen using the highest quality wood.
Turning to modernity has allowed them to develop and refine their craftsmanship to create furniture that combines classic features with contemporary styles, always embodying the Nordic spirit.
IN COLLABORATION
BRDR. KRÜGER works closely with architects, designers, carpenters and high-quality brands, combining their talents to create exclusive furniture tailored to a specific place or ambience.
In these latest designs, the passion and care for sustainable wood has taken on even greater significance, with American hardwoods used to offer a more sustainable choice than the high-demand European white oak. For over 30 years, AHEC has been at the forefront of wood promotion in Europe and has successfully built a distinctive and creative brand for American hardwoods.
Today, the 5th generation family business has evolved into a self-manufacturing furniture brand that celebrates, creates and evolves classic Danish design values by embracing modernity. Continuing the heritage of craftsmanship, the know-how of more than 130 years is combined with modern techniques to create innovative designs with timeless appeal.
